Rear Final Drive Differential Lock Electronic Components






1 Axle Differential Lock Control Module (J647)

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Axle Differential Lock Control Module (J647) ] Axle Differential Lock Control Module (J647).

2 Transfer Case Operating Unit (E473)

• Installed location, refer to => [ Transfer Case Operating Unit Installed Location ].

• For the correct allocation, refer to the Parts Catalog

3 Differential Lock Motor (V304)

• Installed location, refer to => [ Differential Lock Motor Installed Location ].

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Differential Lock Motor (V304) ] Differential Lock Motor (V304).

• The following components are integrated in the differential lock motor:

Motor temperature sensor (G407)

Differential lock position sensor 1 (G460)

Differential lock position sensor 2 (G461)

Brake for differential lock motor

4 Diagnostic Connection

• Installed location, refer to => [ Diagnostic Connection ].

5 Multifunction Indicator, Inside the Instrument Cluster

• Condition and information regarding the differential lock inside the rear final drive

Axle Differential Lock Control Module Installed Location






The axle differential lock control module is located inside the luggage compartment in the rear, behind the right side trim panel.

Transfer Case Operating Unit Installed Location





The transfer case operating unit - 1 - is located inside the gearshift mechanism trim - 2 - in the center console.

Removing and installing, refer to "Storage Compartments, Covers and Trim", "Gearshift Mechanism Trim" in.

Differential Lock Motor Installed Location





The differential lock motor - A - is located in front of the left flange shaft on the rear final drive.

Diagnostic Connection





The diagnostic connector is located under a cover in the driver's side foot well.
