Rear Window Wiper

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)

Removal

- Let rear window wiper run to rest position.

- Remove the cap - 3 - from the rear window wiper.






- Remove the spray nozzle - 2 -. Refer to => [ Rear Window Spray Nozzle ] Rear Window Spray Nozzle.

- Loosen hex nut - arrows - but do not remove it completely.

- Fold wiper arm up - 4 - and loosen it from cone using sideways motions.

- Remove hex nut - 1 - completely and pull wiper arm - 4 - off wiper arm shaft.

Installation

- Install wiper arm in reverse order of removal and set the rear window wiper rest position. Refer to => [ Rear Window Wiper Blade Park Position, Adjusting ] Rear Window Wiper Blade Park Position, Adjusting.

- After adjusting the rear window wiper rest position, tight the nut to the tightening specification given in the overview. Refer to => [ Rear Window Wiper System Overview ] Rear Window Wiper System Overview.
