Replacement of leaking Diesel-Kiki A/C compressor filler valve

Loss of Freon may, in some cases, be from leakage at the compressor filler valve. A new valve has been developed and put into production from the following chassis numbers:

244 - 260 313 245 - 752 653

On earlier models, the valve may be replaced by the later version (P/N 3522521-8).

Disconnect battery ground cable.

Drain refrigerant from system.

Remove filler valve.

Unscrew protective cap, then remove valve using a 14 mm box wrench. Remove flat washer.

Install new filler valve.

Install a new filler valve (P/N 3522521-8) and new flat washer. Tighten valve to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.)

Fill system with refrigerant.

Connect battery ground cable.

Check system.

Start engine and switch A/C on.
Using a leak detector, check filler valve for leakage.
Ensure valve is not leaking.

Warning:
