RE:
NEW BODY ADHESIVE
700

THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO THE U.S. AND CANADA
REFERENCE: TP30468/2 (ENGLISH); BODY REPAIRS

A new body adhesive (P/N 1161268-6) is now available for sheet metal repairs. It replaces the earlier adhesive.

Two components - one cartridge

The new adhesive is supplied in specially designed cylindrical cartridges holding approximately 380 ml.

The adhesive is a 2-component product with individual components (base and hardener) contained in separate compartments in the cartridge.

WARNING:
The product is toxic. The instructions on the cartridge must be followed carefully.

"Automatic" mixing

The two (yellow and blue) components are squeezed from the cartridge into a tube where they are mixed. The mixed adhesive (green in color) is discharged from the application nozzle at the end of the mixing tubes.

Manual or compressed air application

The bottom of the cartridge is fitted with a plunger with which the adhesive may be applied either manually or with compressed air.

Manual gun: (P/N 1159788-7) is suitable when small quantities are involved.

Power gun: (P/N 1159789-5) is recommended when large quantities are used.

NOTE:
These guns may be available locally.

Components:
1 x cartridge
1 x mixing tube
1 x cap
1 x handle (opening/closing valve)

Replacement of mixing tube

The mixing tube is a disposable item which must be replaced when the adhesive in it has hardened. The same tube may normally be used when the gun is used several times daily.

Tubes are supplied in packs of ten (P/N 1159790-3). The plastic cap part number is P/N 1159791-1.

Higher temperature - quicker hardening

The hardening time is shorter at higher temperature (see illustration).
