Previous M12 cylinder head bolt A, Part No. 1328021-9, and washer, Part No. 1328020-1, have been replaced by new-type M12 cylinder head bolt B. This new-type bolt has a captive washer which lessens the risk of the bolt cutting into the top of the washer while tightening.

The new cylinder head bolt was introduced in February 1985 production from the following engine numbers:

CW 125732 --
DM 010868 --
GP 011323 --
GR 022025 --

NOTE: New-type cylinder head bolt, Part No. 1328871-7, must NOT be reused. Always replace cylinder head bolts when the cylinder head is removed during a repair. Always replace previous-type cylinder head bolts with the new-type bolt.
