New special tool for measuring brake disc and hub runout on 200, 700 and 900 series vehicles.


In order to match the disc and hub on vehicles, an accurate measurement must be made of brake disc and hub runout as specified in preliminary Service Manual TP31087/1, brakes, 700 (all except 1991 model year on with ABS).

Commercially available dial indicators cannot be mounted with sufficient rigidity in the vicinity of brake components to obtain the precise, minute measurements necessary to effect proper brake repairs. Therefore, this rigid mount kit was developed.

The brake disc and hub runout measuring tool will be automatically shipped on a staggered allocation basis to all dealers as a mandatory tool beginning February 18 and continuing into mid-March. This is because the tool manufacturer cannot supply all of our needs at once.
