Test Results For Recycled CFC/R-12 VS. Recycling Standards
By old methods, each time an air conditioning system was serviced, the old refrigerant was vented into the atmosphere. Today, we know this not only depletes profits, it also depletes the earth's protective ozone layer. But, with the development of Robinair's recovery and recycling equipment, this wasteful and destructive practice is no longer necessary.
Recovering refrigerants prevent the release of destructive chemicals into the atmosphere. And recycling that refrigerant enables you to reuse it, saving the money you would have spent on new refrigerant.
Robinair's commitment to solving the problem of CFCs destroying the atmosphere dates back to the early 1970's. Our involvement with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (MVMA), the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and the Recycling Standards Ad Hoc Committee helped us to design practical equipment to effectively recover and recycle refrigerants.
Both the 17300 and 17350 models are UL certified to meet SAE standards for recycled R-12 refrigerant in fact, test results show that our equipment delivers recycled refrigerant that far exceeds established specifications.
