Removal/Installation

1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove rear wheels.
2. Remove brake caliper attaching bolts, then hang caliper away from spring.
3. Remove brake discs and parking brake cable from equalizer and clamps, located on the rear axle assembly.
4. Remove torque rod attaching bolts then position lifting fixture 2714 on a suitable jack and raise rear axle assembly slightly.
5. Remove track rod from [1][2]differential.
6. Disconnect speedometer sender from rear of [1][2]differential, then remove propeller shaft at pinion flange using tool 5244.
7. Remove upper torque rod at rear axle, then shock absorber lower attaching bolts.
8. Remove trailing arm front bracket. Using a suitable pry bar, remove trailing arms from chassis.
9. Remove rear axle breather hose, then lower axle assembly and remove from vehicle.
