Production pressure actuators cannot be adjusted since the sleeve is crimped to the actuator rod. If adjustment is necessary, an adjustable pressure actuator must be installed. Refer to ``Pressure Actuator, Replace'' procedure.
1. Disconnect actuating rod at wastegate crank and allow spring pressure to bottom diaphragm inside actuator to check clearance between diaphragm and end of actuator. A clearance of 2mm must exist to ensure that wastegate closes properly, Fig. 3. Adjust if necessary, reconnect actuator rod, and recheck pressure.
2. Turn adjusting sleeve in to increase boost pressure, out to decrease boost pressure.
3. Install new lock ring and tighten locknut.
