AUTOMATIC CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT
The Automatic Climate Control Unit (ACCU) is an electro-vacuum control system. It controls a series of blend doors, the blower motor, the heater control valve, and the A/C compressor clutch to maintain a preset temperature level. These functions are determined within the ACCU programmer.

Within the programmer, an electronic amplifier accepts weak signals from three temperature sensors and the temperature selection wheel. These signals are amplified and sent to the transducer which controls the blend door functions via a nine-port rotary vacuum valve. Other functions of the ACCU control panel control heater control valve operation and blower motor speed.
