Vacuum Control

NOTE: When performing the following checks, the battery must be fully charged and available vacuum should be 10 inch Hg. Temperature approximately 68-77° F.

TIME CHECK FROM COLD TO WARM
1. Set the mode selector to "AUTO"
2. Move the temperature wheel from max cold (65° F) to max warm (85° F).
3. Move the temperature wheel from max warm to max cold.
4. Time taken should be:
With recirculation (above 68° F) approx. 25 seconds.
Without recirculation (below 68° F) approx. 16 seconds.

TIME CHECK FOR VACUUM CONTROLS
1. Set temperature wheel to max cold (65° F).
2. Move mode selector from "OFF" to the following positions and count seconds (to air flow):
ECON (air from panel vents) 10-12 seconds
B/L (air from floor and panel vents) 5-8 seconds
DEF (air from defrost vents) 3-6 seconds
AUTO (air from panel vents) 15-20 seconds

If vehicle fails either time check, check for restricted vacuum supply to effected components.
