Use of Liquid Sealing Compound

Joints such as that between the upper and lower halves of cylinder head on the B6304 engine are sealed with a liquid sealing compound (liquid gasket) part No. 1161 059-9, or equivalent.

It is essential that the surfaces be thoroughly cleaned and all traces of oil removed before applying the compound.

The compound is applied with a short-haired roller.
