Without Deadlock
Deadlock Switch
Deadlock Switch Located At Outer Cam Disc:
The deadlock switch consists of a 2-way microswitch which is only fitted in the two front door central lock units, located at the lock unit's outer cam disc. The deadlock switch is only activated when the door key is used to lock or unlock, and activates or deactivates the car's alarm system when the key is turned a further 20° in either direction by sending a ground signal to the central locking relay, which in turn sends a control signal to the alarm relay. The deadlock switch's wires are not connected to ground when it is in standby. The deadlock switch does not affect the central lock system's functions. For fault tracing of the alarm system, seeAnti-Theft Alarm Section.
