Manual Locking Of Lock Unit With Door In Open Position.

The doors and trunk/tailgate should be open during fault tracing. The lock unit should be latched in the locked position by pressing in the central locking unit latch with a screwdriver.

On completion of fault tracing, the latch should be released by opening the door with the inside or outside handle. Dismantle the sound insulation and interior panels in the doors and trunk/tailgate when repairs or replacement of central lock units are needed.

NOTE: The type of central locking system should be identified prior to fault tracing. The method of identification is described under Description and Operations. Identification is essential if fault tracing is to be carried out correctly and to ensure that the correct replacement parts are used.

Exercise care when bridging terminals to avoid damage to the system. If the system is equipped with a deadlock, it must never be operated unless the central locking relay and antitheft (deadlock) relay are both installed or unless both relays are removed.

The central locking relay activates the central lock units only when the reverse control signal is sent to the central locking relay. Example: If the "UNLOCK" button is pressed twice in quick succession, the second command is ignored.
