REPAIR OF RATTLES FROM SUNROOF

This service bulletin describes how to trace and repair noise and wear if the sunroof makes a noise when opened or closed or when the car is being driven. After fault-tracing has been carried out the sunroof or the motor unit's cover panel must be removed and the cause of the problem repaired.

This bulletin describes the reasons why noise and wear occur, and the methods on how to repair the problem. Where tape is installed over existing tape, the size of the new tape must be the same as the existing tape.

Take care when tracing types of noise. Localize the source of the noise before attempting a repair. Carry out only the operation describing where the noise originates.
