Reading / Clearing DTC's

Using the diagnostic system, Volvo Diagnostic Key (Scan Tool)






Switch off the ignition
Insert the memory module (cassette)
Connect the power cable of the Volvo Diagnostic Key to the battery.
Connect the connecting lead to the diagnostic unit.
Press any button on the seat controls for the seat to be diagnosed or calibrated, and hold the button down when turning on the ignition. The ignition must have been off for at least five seconds before this is done.

Find the text "B6 POWER SEAT". Press *" with the cursor keys.

Schematic menu descriptions for each test mode are given that follow. They show how to use the Diagnostic Key.

Display Text:

Faint circle = short press on key, down in flowchart.
Bold circle = long press on key, up in flowchart.
Use the cursor keys to scroll text backwards or forwards on the display, horizontally in the sequence.

Deleting Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)






Before Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) can be deleted, all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) must have been read off at least once. After deletion, go to function 1 and read off the diagnosis again.
