Using the diagnostic system, Volvo Diagnostic Key (Scan Tool)






Switch off the ignition
Insert the memory module (cassette)
Connect the power cable of the Volvo Diagnostic Key to the battery.
Connect the connecting lead to the diagnostic unit.
Press any button on the seat controls for the seat to be diagnosed or calibrated, and hold the button down when turning on the ignition. The ignition must have been off for at least five seconds before this is done.
Find the text "B6 POWER SEAT". Press * .^ with the cursor keys.

Schematic menu descriptions for each test mode are given on the pages that follow. They show how to use the Diagnostic Key.

Meanings of symbols:

Display Text:

Display text
Faint circle = short press on * key, down in flowchart.
Bold circle = long press on * key, up in flowchart
Use the cursor keys to scroll text backwards or forwards on the display, horizontally in the sequence.
