Checking the hood contact's ground lead




- Ignition off.




- Remove the black lead (SB) from the magnetic switch.
- Check that the switch is clean and dry.




- Connect an ohmmeter between ground and the black lead.

If the reading is correct:
- Continue with step C3. Step C3

If the reading deviates:
There is a break in the ground lead.
- Rectify the fault or renew the lead.
Replace the hood contact lead or connector.
