No fault detected by OBD

The TCM has detected no electrical fault, either in the transmission circuits or in adjoining circuits.

Mechanical faults without DTC

The fault may be purely mechanical and may not affect transmission operation either directly or indirectly. Faults of this nature may include fluid leakage or faults in adjoining parts of the drive train. These may sometimes take the form of noise which occurs when driving. The illustration shows the most common types of mechanical faults which are not detected by the OBD system.





High, whining noise in gear position N or P (at standstill with engine running)





Grating noise in gear position N or P (at standstill with engine running)





Squeaking noise in gear position N or P (at standstill with engine running)





Loud knock or metallic noise in gear other than overdrive





Clicking or grating noise on starting





Fluid leakage at standstill





Fluid leakage at standstill with engine running
