Using the DLC Without A Plaintext Decoder

1. Put selector cable to DLC A position 3.
2. Switch ignition on.
3. Use button to select DTM. To select DTMs 1 and 4, press the button on DLC A the appropriate number of times (once for DTM 1, 4 times for DTM 4).





DTM 1
READING OFF CODES MANUALLY
DTCs appear as three-digit combinations, shown by the number of times the LED flashes. (The ABS system does not use zero.) There is a short pause between each of the three digits: when reading off DTCs, the LED indicates the pause between each digit by turning off before it starts flashing again. Example: DTC 2-3-1. The DTC stored last is displayed first.





DTM 4
SELECTING TRANSMISSION RATE
Inputs are three-digit codes using the numbers 1 to 9: for example, 3-1-2 is the input signal for 2x basic rate. To input codes, use short (approx. 1 second), firm presses of the button. Wait until the LED stays on continuously and enter the first digit; wait until it stays on continuously again and enter the second digit; wait until it stays on continuously again and enter the third digit. Example: code 3-1-2.
