Modification of RHS 850 Unit to SAE Standard

RHS 850 units manufactured from January 1993 on were equipped with new hoses and nipples. Earlier units may also be modified with these fittings to comply with SAE standards.

A complete kit (P/N 9512200-8) has been produced for this purpose.

Procedure for installation of kit 9512200-8
Install copper seal (1) and adapter (2) on HP and LP connections on unit. If only HP connection is used, plug LP connection with plug (3).




Adaptation of valve 9512085-5
Replace existing nipple with new nipple (8) and seal (9). Valve is now suitable for cars in which A/C system is equipped with a quick-action coupling. The 1993 model of the valve (P/N 9512210-7) is already designed for connection to the quick-action coupling. This is not included in the kit but must be ordered separately if required.
