Impact Sensor: Service and Repair

1. Disarm SRS as described under "Air Bag System Disarming and Arming.
2. Remove drivers seat rail retaining screws, then tilt seat backward.
3. Fold back carpet, then move air duct to allow access to sensor module attaching screws.
4. Remove sensor module attaching screws, then module.
5. Never touch sensor module pins: static discharge may damage module.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Tighten attaching screws to specifications. Sensor must be mounted securely to ensure proper air bag operation.
b. After completing installation, arm SRS as described under "Air Bag System Disarming and Arming".
c. Clear DTCs.
