Transmission Control Module (TCM) for AW 30-40

From March 1993, a new control module with modified shift characteristics was introduced in production from these chassis nos:

964: 033467
965: 013040

The new characteristic means that shift intervals are wider than before.

The new control module is identified by p/n 9144038-8, which replaces the earlier type, p/n 3515784-1.

If the new module is installed, inform the owner of the improved shift characteristics in economy and sport modes. Winter mode is unaffected by the change.

The following charts replace pages 7 and 9 in TP 31706/2. Please mark the service manual accordingly.
