Cleaning Tips
CLEANING TIPSADHESIVE
If all adhesive is not used when bonding, leave the mixing tube on the cartridge until bonding is next carried out (or replace the black protective sleeve).
Since the adhesive in the mixing tube will harden approx 30 minutes after bonding has been completed, the tube must be replaced before the operation is repeated. For this reason, extra tubes should be ordered with the adhesive (pack of 10 tubes, P/N 1159790-3).
SEALANT
If all of the sealant is not used, leave the nozzles in place and the cartridge in the spray gun on completion of work. Remove and clean the nozzles with compressed air before using the gun again. Hold the nozzle over a waste bin when blowing clean. Wear protective goggles.
When replacing the nozzle on the cartridge, remove the nozzle and allow the sealant to dry. The nozzle can be blown clean with compressed air prior to re-use. The sealant cartridge will remain usable for about one month after opening.
Remove the red, outer nozzle if the sealant nozzle is used to apply another material, such as bonding adhesive. Allow the sealant to dry in the nozzle which has been removed. The nozzle can be blown clean with compressed air when the sealant has dried.
