1995 MODEL REQUIRED SPECIAL TOOLS

The tools listed below are classified as required and will be allocated in October 1994:

Electronic Tool

9511425-2:
Combined System Tester cassette contains all model years 800 and 960 fuel and ignition systems. The cassette also contains all diagnostic test functions.

Steel Tools

9995561-9:
Rear axle drive shaft flange counterhold 1995 960 used to hold flange when torquing pinion nut.

9995564-3:
Rear axle C.V. shaft seal drift used to properly install new style seal.

9995319-2:
Power steering adapter (will be allocated in November 1994) used to connect pressure gauge 9995055 to 800 series vehicles.

The 1995 960 features a new front and rear suspension system. A new method for bushing replacement has been developed and tested which helps increase technicians efficiency. This new method and tools will be available in the near future.

If a press fit bushing of the suspension is in need of replacement, contact your Regional Office Field Technical Specialist for assistance.

999 5561 - 9 Holding tool

For drive flange 1055,1065, and 1045 car model 960.
The new tool allows CV joint removal and Installation without damaging the drive flange.

Replaces 999 5426-5

999 5564 - 3 Drift

For installing drive-shaft seal in final drive 1055 and 1065, car model 960.

Use the tool to avoid damage to the seal during installation.
