INSPECTION OF CONTACT STRIP ON 4-DOOR MODELS (200, 700/900)




The following action should be taken if the antenna cannot be extended completely after cleaning, or if the antenna rod does not retract completely into the antenna tube:




- Check if antenna motor is equipped with a contact strip as illustrated. If so, strip should be cut so that ends are separated by a gap of at least 3 mm.
- If strip is not cut, it should be cut at two points to provide a gap of at least 3 mm as illustrated. Do not slacken retaining screws.

Checking control module on 4-door models (200)

If antenna operation is still faulty following above action, control module should finally be checked.




- Disconnect control module connector by depressing spring catch and pulling connector downward.
- Check operation of antenna with new control module, p/n 3533347-5.




- Control module must be replaced if faulty.
- Free control module from mounting bracket by depressing catch on protective cover with screw-driver.
- Install and connect new control module, ensuring that locking catch is securely engaged.
