The braking system can be divided into the following main sections:
- Wheel brakes
- Hydraulic braking system
- Parking brake system
- ABS, EBD and TRACS
Some components are located in different positions in the engine compartment, depending on whether the car is LH or RH drive.
These main sections consist in turn of the following main components:

Wheel brakes
- Front brake calipers and pads (1)

Hydraulic braking system (5)
- Brake fluid reservoir and level sensor (5)
