Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) 5. Cruise control (gasoline engines)

Conditions

Note! If the engine is switched off after the test drive, diagnostic trouble code (DTC) 1-1-2 will always be stored when the ignition is switched on. Do not switch off the ignition after a test drive or when the Volvo Scan Tool (ST) is connected.

Has the ignition been switched off after a test drive?

Yes - Test driving

No - Connecting Volvo Scan Tool

Connecting the Volvo Scan Tool (ST)
- Insert the blue memory cassette into the Volvo Scan Tool (ST)
- Connect adapter 951 1457-5 to cable 951 1458-3.
- Connect the VIDA cable between the adapter and the VIDA PC.

Is the data link connector (DLC) in the passenger compartment?

Yes - Data link connector (DLC) terminal

No - Data link connector (DLC) terminal

- Connect cable from Volvo Scan Tool (ST) (no. 951 1458-3) to the adapter (no. 951 1459-1) for use in the engine compartment.
- Connect adapter to data link connector (DLC) A or B, see DLC DLC.
- Connect adapter cables to the battery.
- Power up the Volvo Scan Tool (ST).

- Power up the Volvo Scan Tool (ST).

- Ignition on.
Read off the cause of the cruise control disengagement.





Select "Continue" to leave Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) 5 when the cruise control disengagement cause has been read off.
