Replacing the generator (GEN) and regulator

Removal

Generator (GEN)





Remove:
- The cable from the battery.
- The fresh air intake hose from the electrical box.
- The coolant reservoir. Place it to one side.

- The toothed belt according to Auxiliaries belt / belt tensioner, replacing, B5234T9, B5244T7 Auxiliaries Belt / Belt Tensioner, Replacing.
- The upper screw and nut and the lower screw for the generator (GEN).
- The belt tensioner and the bracket for the power steering pump and the generator (GEN).
- Detach the generator (GEN).
- the connector for the generator (GEN).
- The protection and the positive lead for the generator (GEN).
- The generator (GEN) by moving it upwards / out.

Governor





Remove:
- The 3 screws for the rear section.
- Undo the catches and detach the cover using a screwdriver.
- The 2 screws for the generator (GEN).
- Pull the generator (GEN) upwards / away.

Installation

Generator (GEN) and regulator
- In reverse order.
