Floor pan
The floor pan incorporates crossmembers and a SIP box as in the S70/V70.
The longitudinal SIP box extension member, and the longitudinal member between the rear seat platform and the rear crossmember, are both unique to the C70.
The reinforcing members between the rear wheel housings and the rear seat platform are also unique to the model.

Reinforcements
The parcel shelf is provided with heavy reinforcement at the seat belt attachment points.
The inner skin of the body is also heavily reinforced to further stiffen the structure.
The upper members in the doors are also unique to the C70.
These members and reinforcing elements form part of the side impact protection and safety cage structure.
