Identifying the serial number of the convertible system

Applies to convertible roofs with serial numbers between 0 and 629




Each convertible system has a serial number stamped on the inside of the right hand mounting for the system.

Applies to convertible roofs with a serial number between 630 and 11518




Each convertible system has a serial number stamped on the second tensioner rib above the cover. The stamp is on the exterior on the right, see shading.
It may be necessary to fold the material to one side to access the serial number.
There is no connection between the chassis number of the car and the serial number of the convertible system. Do not refer to the chassis number of the car when ordering. There are notes in the replacement parts catalogue when the serial number must be given.

From convertible top number 11 519 inclusive, the identity marking has been moved. The new location is on the right-hand side above seal 2. See the illustration. It is the P number on the label that must be used.
