Parking brake warning light




The warning light is located on the instrument panel (dashboard) and comes on when the parking brake lever is pulled on. The warning light comes on when a NO contact (normally open) on the parking brake lever grounds an input on the instrument panel (dashboard).
When the ignition is switched on, the warning light comes on irrespective of the position of the parking brake lever. Once the engine is running (alternator charging), the warning light only comes on when the parking brake lever is on.
