- The fault is permanent.
- The control module is correctly connected.

Possible source
- Stop (brake) lights defective.
- Open-circuit in the stop (brake) light bulb ground leads or power cables.
- Short-circuit to ground or voltage in stop (brake) light switch ground leads or power cables.
- Open-circuit in cable to control module connector terminal 6S.
- Short-circuit to ground or voltage in cable between control module connector terminal 6S.
- Defective stop (brake) light switch

Fault symptom[s]
- Cruise control does not disengage when the brake pedal is depressed.
- Stop (brake) light does not light.
