Programming ECC Solar Sensor
Programming ECC solar sensor
Check the programming of the ECC sun sensor sensitivity
Note! The intensity of the sun affects the temperature in the passenger compartment. To maintain an even climate in the passenger compartment irrespective of the intensity of the sun, the ECC control module calculates the climate control dependent on the signal from the sun sensor. The degree of sensitivity can be programmed so that the calculation of the ECC control module can be adapted. This allows some account to be taken of the driver's wishes for the climate settings in the car. The sensitivity can be set in 7 different steps, from -4 to +2. The higher the value, the more the control module compensates for the intensity of the sun. However of compensation is high, draughts may be felt as the fan speed increases. The lower the value, the less the control module compensates for the intensity of the sun. However, low compensation may lead to too high temperature in the passenger compartment when the intensity of the sun is high. Value -4 results in no compensation. The value should only be changed if there is no doubt that the customer complaint is due to sun compensation.
- Ignition on.
- Use the Programming function to read off and program the ECC control module.
Read off the sun sensor programming. Make a note of the value. Program as required. Programmable compensation is: between +2 and -4 in steps of 1 .
