Connection of Breakout Box MCC

Connecting Breakout Box To MCC Control Module

- Ignition off.
- Expose MCC control module.
- Disconnect control module.
- Check the control module and control module connectors that the male and female terminals are undamaged and secure (cannot be pressed in) and that the cables to the female terminals are secured to the terminals.
- Check the terminals relevant to the diagnostic trouble code (DTC)/symptom especially well. See Signatl Specification MCC
- Connect adapter 951 1463 (22-pin terminal) to the control module connector B (to the wiring) and connect breakout box 981 3190 to adapter.

Hint: Control module terminals #B1-B22 are the equivalent of#31-#53 on the breakout box. The control module terminals in connector A are not connected to the breakout box.

- The breakout box is designed to facilitate reading off control module in and output signals when the control module is connected and the cable and component resistance when the control module is disconnected. Using a breakout box reduces the risk of accidental short-circuits and damaged connector pins.
