Prior to fault tracing/repair








- Make a note of radio code if anti-theft coded radio installed.
- Ignition off.
- Disconnect battery negative lead
The ignition should be switched off and the battery negative lead disconnected, before any of the following are carried out.
- Installing or removing special tool 998 8695.
- Connection or disconnection of connectors and cabling.
- Connection or disconnection of airbag modules, seat belt tensioners or sensor module.
- Installing or removing SRS components.
- Taking readings with an ohmmeter.
