Trouble Code Conditions
3-3-5 CABLE FAULT BETWEEN AW 50-42 TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE AND MOTRONIC 4.4 ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (LAMP LIGHTS)Trouble Code Conditions
- The automatic transmission control module (TCM) can request the lighting of the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) by sending a signal to the engine control module (ECM). If the engine control module registers a fault in the cabling, Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) EFI-335 is stored. On engine start, the engine control module checks for a short-circuit to voltage or an open-circuit in the cabling (signal high). When the engine is running, the engine control module checks for a short-circuit to ground in the signal cable (low signal).
Substitute value(s)
- None.
Possible source(s)
Signal too high:
- Open-circuit in signal cable.
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in signal cable.
