The electronic boost pressure system ensures that boost pressure is built up rapidly and maximum torque is available between approximately 2,000 rpm and 5,280 rpm. Engine response is rapid, at speeds as low as 1,500 rpm torque is already 240 Nm (176.9 ft lb).

In other words, abundant power is available over a wide speed range while performance is maintained at high altitude.
