Front Suspension

General
The front suspension is of the MacPherson strut type, which means that each wheel is independently sprung. The assembly on each side consists of a MacPherson strut (or suspension strut) (1) and a control arm (2). A stabilizer bar (anti-roll bar) (3) is installed between the suspension struts. The stabilizer bar is attached to the subframe (4) by two clamps and is connected to each strut by a short link (5). The upper end of the strut is supported in the wheel housing by an upper mounting (6). The lower end of the strut is connected to the steering knuckle (stub axle carrier) by a bolted joint. The control arm is connected to the steering knuckle by a ball joint (7). The wheel angle which is adjustable is known as the toe-in. in certain cases, the front wheel camber is also adjustable.
