Checking Zexel A/C-Compressor
Checking and replacing Zexel A/C-Compressor
Checking Zexel A/C-compressor
The compressor must be checked for leakage at the six front screws. (The screws behind the pulley).
Feel with fingers for oil at the two lower screws behind the pulley.
If oil is found, replace the compressor.
In cases where it is found that the compressor is DRY (no oil present) perform A/C refrigerant leak test using equipment P/N 9511207-4 or similar.
In case of A/C refrigerant leakage replace the compressor. In cases where there is any question about possible oil presence, or due to some possible contamination of the compressor with oil/liquid from other sources, the A/C refrigerant leakage check should be used as the judgement for decision to replace, or not replace the compressor.
Note:
Do not clean or wash the engine or engine compartment before the leak test is performed.
Replacing A/C-compressor

Note!
Make sure to note how the auxiliary drive belt is routed before removing.
