Loosen the clamp/screw which holds the tail pipe.

Remove the tail pipe.

Cut off the exhaust pipe 25 mm (1") (A) from the end.

Hint: Use chain style exhaust pipe cutter or equivalent.

Perform this step If applicable.

Grind/file the welding spot from the exhaust pipe.

Burr the newly cut surface.

Note!
Both the tail pipe and the clamp are to be reused after modification.
SAFETY GLASSES MUST BE WORN WHEN PERFORMING THIS STEP.





Carefully grind off the tack weld holding the clamp to the tail pipe.

Remove as little material as possible from the pipe and the clamp.

Carefully sand off any remaining part of the tack weld from tail pipe and clamp, so the clamp can be refitted after tail pipe has been modified

Increase the length of the three slots for the tail pipe.

The slots length (A) should be increased no longer than 35 mm (1 3/8") or the same amount as was removed from the exhaust pipe in step A2.

Install the tail pipe on exhaust pipe and align according to illustration.

Adjust tail pipe so that the end is 20 mm (3/4") in from the contour of the bumper cover previously measured.

Position the clamp on the tail pipe so the clamp aligns with bulge/shoulder on the exhaust pipe.

Tighten clamp

No further action needed.
