A/C Pressure Sensor

A/C PRESSURE SENSOR

The A/C Pressure Sensor transmits a linear signal. It informs the Engine Control Module (ECM) about pressure in the A/C high-pressure circuit.

The A/C pressure sensor regulates:

^ START of engine cooling fan at low speed
^ START of engine cooling fan at high speed
^ Stopping compressor if A/C pressure is too high
^ Torque compensation for A/C load.

The pressure sensor receives 5 V from the engine control module (ECM) The sensor signal may vary between 0 V and 5 V, depending on the system pressure. Low pressure produces a low voltage signal and high pressure a high voltage signal.

The A/C pressure sensor is located in the A/C high pressure circuit.
