Replacing the front section assembly

The extent of the damage may vary and with it the number of components that need to be removed.

Removing the front section assembly




Drill or grind out the welds.
Pry off the front section.
Grind clean the welding surfaces.
Check that the dimensions of the car are correct. See Bodywork dimensions .

Installing the front section assembly
Apply welding primer.
Adjust the front section.
Check the A and B dimensions. See Bodywork dimensions .
Secure the front section.
Weld into place.

Hint: Use the painted edges from the removed member as an aide when aligning.
