Control module, replacing
Conditions
- Make a note of the radio code.
- Switch off the ignition.
- Disconnect the battery ground lead.
- Remove the radio.
- Disconnect the connectors.
- Remove the storage compartment in the center console.
Removing the front panel
- 1: Press up the catches behind the holes in the front panel.
- 2: At the same time pull the lower section of the panel towards you. (Use a weatherstrip tool.)
- 3: Press the whole panel upwards slightly. Pull it towards you from the top. (The controls remain on the heater control panel.).
Removing the control module
- Remove the 3 screws.
- Disconnect the connectors.
- Removing the control panel.
- Remove the 2 screws. Move the heater unit downwards at an angle.
- Disconnect the green connector (GN).
- Remove the air hose.
- Remove the heater unit.
Installing the control module
- Connect the green connector (GN).
- Connect the air hose.
- Position the heater unit.
- Install the 2 screws.
- Connect the connectors.
- Install the dashboard.
- Install the 3 screws.
Installing the front panel
- Install the front panel.
- Install the storage compartment in the center console.
- Connect the connectors and the antenna cable to the radio.
- Install the radio.
Remaining operations
- Turn the ignition key to position II.
- Connect the negative battery lead.
- Enter the radio code.
- Set the clock to the correct time.
Finishing
- Self-adjust the damper motor limit positions according to VADIS vehicle communication.
