Installing wheels




The following applies installing and tightening wheel nuts.
Ensure that the brake disk and wheel rim mating surfaces are clean.
Lubricate the hub guide for rims with rustproofing agent Volvo P/N 1161030-0.
Install the wheel studs but do not tighten. Tighten them crosswise to 110 Nm. Torque socket 951 2661 Replaced by 9512834 951 2661 Replaced by 9512834 must be used when tightening with an impact wrench.
Crosswise tightening and torque tightening is important to prevent stresses in the brake disc.

Note! The torque socket is designed for tightening wheel nuts using a standard pneumatic impact nut runner providing a torque of 250-350 Nm.
