Fault-tracing information

Condition
There are no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) for the convertible system.

Possible source
- Short-circuit to ground in the cable for the trunk lid door switch
- Open-circuit in the cable for the trunk lid door switch.

Fault symptom[s]
- Convertible top control does not function
- No power operation of the trunk lid.

Hint:
- Faulty indication that the trunk lid is open (i.e. the convertible top cannot be operated).
(The lamp for the trunk lid in the combined instrument panel is lit even though the trunk lid is close)
- The convertible top can be operated when the trunk lid is open.
