- Ignition off.
- Disconnect the seat connector.
- Check the connector. Check for contact resistance. Check for oxidation. Check for loose connections. Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults
- Ignition on.
Connect an oscilloscope between left seat connector terminal #2 and ground
The oscilloscope should display a spiked pulse with an interval of 500 ms and an offset of approximately 2 V.
Repeat the measurement, but now between the SIPS bag's connector #1 and ground. The oscilloscope should indicate 2 V.
Remedy as necessary.
Select continue when the defect has been remedied.
