Signal too high. Intermittent fault

Check the signal cable

Hint: The vehicle speed signal is sent to the engine control module (ECM) via the Controller area network (CAN) and via the 12-pulse vehicle speed signal cable to other recipients of the information.

Check the signal cable between combined instrument panel #A7 (breakout box #7), climate control system control module #1C, audio #78, RTI control module #38. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.








- Ignition off.
- Reinstall connectors, components etc.
- Raise the car.
- Start the engine and select a gear.
Read off diagnostic trouble code (DTC) DIM-0006 status.





Has the status switched to intermittent?

Yes - VERIFIED

No - VERIFICATION FAILED
