Location Of Components

The Brake System Can Be Divided Into Following Main Components:
- Wheel braking system
- Hydraulic braking system
- Parking brake system
- ABS system, EBD and antispin/TRACS system

Certain components are located differently in the engine compartment depending on whether the car is left or right-hand drive.

The main systems consist of the following main components:







Wheel braking system
- Front brake caliper and pad (1)
- Front brake disc (2)
- Rear brake caliper and pad (3)
- Rear brake disc (4)

Hydraulic braking system
- Brake fluid reservoir and level sensor (5)
- Master cylinder (6)
- Power brake booster overload relay (7)
- Brake pedal and stop (brake) light contact (8)
- Brake lines (9)
- Brake circuit warning indicator (10)

Parking brake system
- Parking brake lever (12)
- Brake wires (13)
- Brake shoes (14)
- Parking brake lever warning lamp (15)

ABS system, EBD and antispin/TRACS system
- ABS, EBD and TRACS/anti wheel spin control module (16)
- ABS warning lamp (20)
- No anti-spin function/TRACS warning lamp (only cars with TRACS/anti wheel spin) (21)
- Anti wheel spin/TRACS switch (Only cars with TRACS/anti wheel spin) (22)
