Reinstalling Screwed Joints
General Requirements
- Clean all contact surfaces in the joint, mechanically first and then use a solvent to get rid of grease.
- If necessary, replace screw and nuts for torque-tightened joints. When reusing clean and oil.
- Always replace screws or screws and nuts with new ones for joints that are protractor tightened.
NOTE: Does not apply to M22 self-locking drive shaft nuts.
- The tightening values must be followed to an accuracy of better than ±5%.
- 1 Nm = 0.1 kpm.
